In this guide, you'll learn more on the marketing possibilities with Voicefront. Besides developing and help managing your skill on Alexa, we also assist with marketing by enabling marketing activities.
Marketing activities help you advertise your skill on owned, earned, and paid marketing channels and measure your results. When a potential customer clicks on a marketing activity the voice assistant will start talking to them and launch your skill. This means that your skill can also be triggered by a web-to-voice funnel.
Types of marketing activities
Marketing activities are any type of digital or physical activity that you can use to get traffic to your store. It may be a badge, speech bubble or icon on your website, a link in your newsletter or social media post, a QR code on your packaging, an ad on YouTube and more.
You can create as many marketing activities as you'd like. Each marketing activity can trigger a different flow. I.e. you can share a link on your website FAQ page that will trigger your skill to start the FAQ flow.
It is also possible to share a marketing activity that will trigger the general conversation starters flow. You can measure the results of each flow separately to calculate ROI.
Create a marketing activity
There are different marketing activities for different marketing channels and there are different marketing activities for different flows. Here are three examples on how to create a marketing activity for a specific flow:
Go to Marketing > Add activity and choose the activity you'd like to use. Then select the flow that you want to share. If you want to share the default flows (conversation starter flows), select Other > Conversation Starters.
We recommend starting with installing a speech bubble on your website.
When you install the speech bubble of the "Where is my order?" flow on the Thank-You page of your website, the customer can easily track their order by clicking on the bubble.
One of the great advantages of using voice commerce is the availability of new marketing channels like Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, or SoundCloud. To get started with audio advertising, contact us.
