The conversation starters you choose will play at the beginning of the conversation, right after the welcome message. Conversation starters consist of flows that you choose. You can configure a sequence of flows as conversation starters and each of them will be triggered until one of them gets fulfilled .
The conversation starter is similar to a sales script. Think about your voice assistant as your digital salesperson. Your salesperson will pitch several promotions. Then, when a customer asks about a specific promotion, your salesperson will read a message describing the promotion and suggest a product or a collection to the customer. You can optionally apply a discount to the customer's chosen product to increase conversion and sales.
Putting a flow into the conversation starter sequence is the same as adding it to the default trigger. When a customer asks their voice assistant to talk to your brand without a specific intent, your conversation starters will play.
Setting up conversation starters
To set up a flow as a conversation starter, go to the Dialog > Conversation starters section in the menu. To add a flow, click on the Plus > Browse, choose a flow and save the selection. If you want to add more flows, you can simply add another one by clicking on the plus sign again. The series of flows you've added as conversation starters will be suggested to the customer.
Sharing conversation starters
Sharing conversation starters is like sharing the default trigger to open the voice-store. To share a conversation starter, go to Dialog > Conversation starters section in the menu and click on Share. Here you will find all the marketing activities for the configured conversation starters.
